Join local expert Mark for an exciting day on the North Yorkshire coast, making the most of the fantastic winter species at Filey and Scarborough!
Birding Discovery Day - Coastal Winter Warmers 2027
We'll be focussing our attentions on Scarborough's bays and harbour, and Filey Brigg and bay - which will give us the chance of a range of coastal species including Red-throated and Great Northern Divers, Great Crested (and perhaps Black-necked or Slavonian) Grebes, Peregrines, seaducks such as Common Scoters and Eiders, and specialist waders like Purple Sandpipers, Sanderlings, Curlews, Redshank, Dunlin, Ringed Plover and more! We'll also be on the lookout for marine mammals, including Harbour Porpoise, Grey Seals and Bottlenose Dolphins...
Please note that because we'll be exploring the best of Filey Brigg, this tour is only suitable for those who are comfortable on slippy and rocky surfaces. For less demanding bespoke tours, please contact us!
